Ground Work Assistance Updates

Note from EI Board

The Eventing Ireland Board would like to update you on some recent initiatives regarding ground works which we hope will be of benefit to both event organisers and to our members, particularly during the dry weather we have been having:

Eventing Ireland Agrivator

Eventing Ireland recently purchased an Agrivator using the Sports Capital Grant Scheme.  This machine is available for use at our national and international events.  The Agrivator is used for aerating and decompacting hard ground.  It is extensively used for taking the firmness out of the ground, particularly during the dry months, improving ground safety.  The Agrivator has recently been used at Grove, Kilguilkey International and national events and is being used at Ballindenisk to prepare the ground for this weekend.

All enquiries regarding hire of the Eventing Ireland Agrivator should be to
Peter Fell.

Assistance for Ground Works in Extreme Weather Conditions

In an effort to help defray some of the additional expenses being incurred by our event organisers during the dry weather, Eventing Ireland is offering financial support, on a case by case basis, to event organisers who have in the recent past and are making efforts to responsibly water their tracks for our events.

The Eventing Ireland Board will consider reasonable and vouched requests and will consider each application on its merits and both reserves its rights and gives no guarantees on the operation of this short term emergency facility.

All Eventing Ireland Event Organisers have been sent the relevant information and forms to apply either the Agrivator or for assistance regarding watering.
