Baileys Horse Feeds Flexi Eventing at The Meadows

The Northern Region, in association with MEC, has organised the very popular Flexi Eventing series which takes place at The Meadows Equestrian Centre. The series begins on Saturday 11 January and runs each Saturday until 7 March. This has, once again, been very generously sponsored to the tune of £1000 by Baileys Horse Feeds with points being awarded for performance of combinations as well as attendance each week. Cash prizes will be presented to the top 15 in the League as well as a prize to the best placed Pony Club/ Riding Club participant.

Dressage, which must be pre-entered with Dora by 5pm on Wednesday of each week, takes place in Arena 1 and caters for Intro, Pre Novice, Novice and Intermediate (subject to demand) levels .

Showjumping in Arena 2 starts at 9am with two heights (70cms & 1m) running simultaneously. These will subsequently be raised to  80cms & 1.10m followed by 90cms & 1.20m.

The cross country phase will take place in Arena 3, starting at 9.30, with 3 full courses (80cms, 90 cms & 1m)of superb fences, including an exciting new water complex and bank.

The Flexi Eventing is open to everyone and costs £10 per discipline.

Competitors can choose to do any or all of the three disciplines.

Plaiting is not necessary but proper dress should be worn and Body Protectors of minimum BETA 2009 Level 3 MUST be worn for cross country.

Full details will be posted on the MEC and Eventing Ireland websites.
