Dear Members

As we continue in lockdown the Government continues to ask us to prepare for the possible easing of restrictions.

As part of this process they encourage businesses and employees to make plans, with the possibility that social distancing will remain with us for some time to come as part of any relaxation in the lockdown.  The document (available to download below), which the Government recommends people are familiar with, gives a sense of what is expected in general terms.

While not specific to the sport of eventing or the horse industry, it will give you a sense of the requirements that will need to adhered to for the foreseeable future in our interactions with others in order to continue to assist in containing the spread of COVID-19, and the responsibility we all have in identifying the risks that could contribute to the spread of the virus, and mitigating factors we should put in place.

In the meantime we continue to engage with our stakeholders, in terms of developing protocols specific to eventing,  should the restrictions on our sport be eased.

Notwithstanding our wish to be back out competing,  we also remain cognisant of the significant fact that many families have been, and will continue to be impacted by the virus, and our thoughts are with them.

The prevention of the spread of the virus, and the protection of our frontline workers remains paramount in our minds.

We will keep you up to date with developments on our sport as they become known to us.

We have created a COVID-19 heading on our website and will be publishing links and information regarding the COVID-19 Virus to this page (found HERE)
