Combined Training

What is Combined Training?

Author: EI Admin/Wednesday 24 April 2013/Categories: General Information, Training

Combined Training is a class which can take place during a normal event which allows the competitor to ride the dressage test and show jump at their particular level.

Combined Training is run by the regions at the start of the year so competitors and their horses have the chance to get fit and train before the season starts in March with feedback from the dressage judges. However, some events put on Combined Training a week or two before a Home International event to give competitors a final chance to fine tune their dressage/show jumping before their international event.

Combined Training is available for all classes (numbers permitting). You do not have to be a member of Eventing Ireland to take part in Combined Training.

All Combined Training is run under the Rules of Eventing Ireland.  Competitors must wear approved head gear and back protector for the jumping section, as per the EI Rules and all hats must be tagged.
