Dear Athletes and members
It is with great regret and disappointment that due to the current ground conditions and poor weather forecast, the organisers of the National Championships to be held at Castle Irvine Necarne on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September have made the difficult decision to cancel.
We can now confirm that the National Championships will now take place at Kilguilkey House, Mallow, Co Cork on the same weekend.
All National Championship classes and Horse Sport Ireland Studbook Series final will take place over the two days with dressage and show jumping taking place on Saturday and cross country all day Sunday.
Please note, entries will now close on Monday 4 September at noon.
Finger food and a complimentary drink will be included in the entry fee – these can be redeemed at the welcome reception which will take place on Saturday evening where will have live traditional music and entertainment.
We would like to extend our thanks to Dora Beacom, Denis Currie and Adam Stevenson, who worked so hard in the preparations of Necarne. We would also like to thank Danny and Michelle Dulohery for stepping in to run the National Championships at such short notice.
If anyone can volunteer for the event, please can you contact Michelle and advise which day(s) you are available.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at this years National Championships.
