Stepping Stones Training Programme

The Training for selected 6 & 7 yr old horses began with Show Jumping at Killossery Lodge Stud at the end of July. Six horses attended John Ledingham's Clinic. Coaches' other commitments meant the next Training day was after Dublin Horse Show . A very interesting and successful day. Show Jumping with Ian Fearon at Coilog last week was attended by 14 horses. Next week sees 3 different options for Trainees

1) British Dressage Trainer Ian Woodhead is at Castledillon Estates in Armagh on Tuesday & Wednesday August 26th / 27th. There may be spaces for horses outside the Programme to avail of some top class tuition.

2) Senior Squad Trainer Sandy Phillips is in Coilog , Kilmeague Co Kildare on Wednesday & Thursday 27th / 28th August. This clinic is full with Stepping Stones horses.

3) Ian Fearon is in Coilog also on Wednesday 27th August so horses can avail of both Dressage and Show Jumping the same day.

4) To round off a very busy week, Stepping Stones Participants Jane O'Flynn and Ciaran Glynn will be attending Conrad Schumacher for 3 days Dressage Training in Redcross Stud Co Wicklow.

Our sincere thanks to HSI for their 50% subsidy for all this training .Thanks too go to Cathy Cooper at HSI Skillsnet for her Admin help with Arenas etc. Training has been very well received to date by all who took part and by those who came to watch.
