Eventing Ireland are delighted to welcome on board Pacefeeder as sponsor of the EI90 class at the Grassroots Championship, to be held on Sunday 27th August at Lisgarvan during their inaugural International Horse Trials.
The Pacefeeder is a ‘slow hay feeder’ designed for indoor and outdoor use. It allows horses and other equines to access hay over an extended period of time, thus mimicking grazing behaviour, and ensuring the natural position of the head and jaw alignment.
Traditional methods of two-to-three feeds a day, does not take into consideration the digestive system or the natural feeding behaviour of the horse. Scientific research proves that this new method of feeding hay, decreases the risk of stomach ulcers and other veterinary issues such as colic and lymphangitis. In addition it helps tackle stereotypical behaviour.
The Pacefeeder is robust, weatherproof, easy to use and simple to fit. Our purposefully registered designed corner slow hay feeder, is manufactured in Co. Wicklow.
Two corner models were launched at Tattersalls International Horse Trials in June 2015.
To-date, the corner ‘slow hay feeder’ has been installed extensively across Ireland, the UK, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. Customers have reported significant savings – no waste due to trampling/soiling – in excess of 20%.
The winner of the EI90 Grassroots Championship will take home a Pacefeeder – and can chose from any of the three models: standard corner, tall corner or rectangular.
