TRI Equestrian Series Update:

The next rounds of the TRI Equestrian Series took place at Clyda on Sunday 28 August.

TRI Equestrian U25 Series

Clyda was host to the eighth leg of this ten leg series and Lesley-Anne Lyons riding Rupert Bear took first place for the second time this season. Lesley-Anne has been placed on all her five outings and is now leading on 21 points - which looks unbeatable at this stage. Second on the day was Michelle Kenny riding Heroes Star with Kim Ronan and Xanthos coming third.

TRI Equestrian Autumn Pre-Novice Series

One hundred and eight combinations have so far entered the first three legs of this popular five leg series. Clyda saw the class split for a second time in this Autumn Series with 47 competitors taking part. Adrian Burrell riding Portoprince and Sarah Ennis riding DSL The Mooche both finished top of their classes on the day, acquiring their 6 points respectively. However, Sarah Ennis riding Fernhill Ruby are now at the top of the leader board after securing a point when taking 6th place at Clyda. The pair now lead the table by just one point. Four riders are now on 6 points with two legs left to run.

TRI Equestrian Autumn Intro Series

Dan Foley riding Not Hitched Yet took the red rosette in the TRI Equestrian Autumn Intro class, putting them on top of the leader board alongside Luke Drea and Avoca Orion and Stephen Graham on Ballyalt Oscar. On the day it was Emma Ryan and Miller who took second and Tim Dennehy riding SBT Izuzu were placed third. Seventy three horse/rider combinations have so far taken part in the three legs, and there is plenty of time for the results to change!
