Eventing Ireland tendered for a new Auditor in March last year after Dermot McMahon, our auditor for many years, advised he was stepping down from that role. Our new auditor is Eddie Kelly and Co, based in Co Wexford.
The 2024-2025 financial statement is being reviewed by the Board meeting and be available online prior to the AGM.
Constitution Update and EGM
We have been engaging with Regional Chairs and Chairs of committees at our Regional Forum meeting and after a lot of hard work, have now got a finalised version of the Constitution.
A communication will be sent by email and on the website to all members eligible to vote. To pass the Constitution, we will need to hold two EGMs where the Constitution must be passed by 75% of those present at the meeting.
If we have the Constitution approved by the membership, we can then proceed with converting to a CLG which was discussed at the EGM in March 2024.
Ten days written notice is required for the first EGM which will be followed 14 days later for the second. More information will be published shortly.
The Board would like to thank everyone who has participated and contributed to the new Constitution.
AGM
Details of the AGM will be announced shortly but it is planned for Wednesday 25 March at the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge starting at 7pm. The AGM will by hybrid so those unable to attend in person will be able to contribute online.
Please note, only paid-up members at the AGM can have their say.
Regional Forum
The Regional Forum continues to hold productive meetings with feedback from these sessions cementing stronger and more transparent relationships with the regions and committees.
Volunteering is a big agenda topic and the Regions have been tasked with managing volunteers for the event organisers. More news will be published shortly but we would ask all members to volunteer where they can. This can be done via the members area on the website.
Terms of reference for the Regions have been updated and we are awaiting feedback before they are published.
2026 Rules
The Rules Committee has worked hard to finalise the 2026 Rule Book and a separate communication about Rule Changes will be issued in the coming days.
Registrations
The Board has made the tough decision to increase registrations for 2026 to keep in line with rising costs. These will be effective immediately.

Sponsorship
Head Office has been working extremely hard to secure sponsorship for 2026 and news of sponsors is being announced as they happen. If any member knows of a sponsorship lead, please contact Head Office.
The Plus Vital Spring Series is proving very popular and we are delighted with entries. There was a demand for combined training at the start of the season and the Board thanks the membership for ensuring its success. Thank you to the venues who are holding these pre-season events.
For the first time ever, we have an exciting collaboration with AIRC. More information will be announced shortly.
