After the success of the inaugural Treo Eile Thoroughbred Eventing 3-Day Challenge in 2025, the class will return for 2026. The Irish EBF Thoroughbred EI100 Challenge will run as a national EI100 over two-three days at Ballindenisk International 2 (23-27 Sept), allowing competitors to experience the atmosphere and thrill of competing at an International alongside some of the biggest names in the sport.
Established in 2020, Treo Eile is a not-for-profit providing assistance to racehorse trainers and owners who wish to rehome and retrain horses once racetrack careers are complete.
In order to compete at the Thoroughbred Eventing 3-Day Challenge, horses must be registered with Treo Eile and must be named on their passport. Registration to Treo Eile is free – simply visit www.treoeile.com
To qualify, combinations must earn MERs at two EI or BE events in 2025, at EI100 (or equivalent) level by 21st September 2025. Combinations can qualify and compete on Day Tickets – no EI membership is required!
Further information will be released in the coming weeks, and keep an eye on Eventing Ireland and Treo Eile socials for exciting training initiatives!
