2025 Young Horse Pathway Training Announced

Eventing Ireland is delighted to confirm that the 2025 Young Horse Pathway Training for 4 and 5yo horses will this year take place at Killossery Lodge Stud, with a 4yo Final at Ballindenisk Intl 2, September 24th-28th.

The training will commence next week, Thursday 5th June, if there is sufficient interest. The first session will consist of Cross Country training only, with Sally Corscadden. Entries are now open on the EI website, and will close at 12pm noon on Tuesday 3rd June. Max 2 horses per rider initially, which will be reviewed dependent on demand.

The second session will be on Thursday 26th June, with Sally on Cross Country and Kevin Acres on flatwork.

We are hoping to host further dates during July and August.

The cost is €65 per horse for XC only. Sessions will be approx 1 hour with 4 people per session. The following days will be €90, to include a ½ hr flatwork lesson with 2 people per lesson.

All entries for the 4yo Final, sponsored by DAFM, at Ballindenisk Intl 2 must have attended a training session over the summer. However, please note that, this year, the training sessions are not assessment days for the final.

Entry is open to EI Members over 14 years of age on 4 or 5 year old horses over 148cm. Horses entered for the 4yo final must be registered and named in their passport, with the breeder recorded.
