Training News General News Leagues
Week four was a quieter week in the Plusvital Spring Series, but competition was still fierce at The Meadows and Milchem Equestrian.

With no 115 classes running at the weekend, the leaderboard in that league remains unchanged, with Louise Bloomer and Atlantic Rockstar (ISH) still leading the league by 4.5 points.

In the EI110 league, an unfortunate pole for Ciarrai Rice and Lady J (ISH) meant that Denis Currie and Merlot (ISH) took the win at The Meadows, which sees Denis and Merlot move into the league of the 110 league, 1.5 points ahead of Ciarrai, whilst previously leader Michael O’Toole slips into third place.

Grace Mahon won the CT100 class at Milchem, with Regina Hoctor’s Ballycondon OBOS (ISH), finishing on their dressage score of 25.25, whilst Rebecca Scott partnered RDM Ring of the Night (ISH) to a FOD of 27. In the league standings, the top 3 are exceptionally close: Rebecca leads on 16.5 points, whilst Grace lies 2nd by just 0.5 points – she does extend her lead for the Leading Junior Rider, now a full 5 points clear of second place Charlie Watson. Meanwhile at The Meadows, Bernadette Muirhead and Out of the Blue took the points for the win, a result which sees her leap up to 3rd, from 6th, on the league leaderboard, just 1 point behind Grace. Bernadette’s result also sees her tie with Kaiti McCann for the Leading Amateur Rider.

There was also movement in the top 6 of the CT90 league. Isaac McCarthy and Suirvalley Little Monkey once again scoring highly at The Meadows, extending their lead of the league to 4 points. Lucy Ferris and How Ya Sammy led on 22.25 after dressage at Milchem, but an unfortunate pole saw them slip into 2nd place, behind Maya Byrnand Tranquil Master who took a second win of the series. The result leaves the pair tied for 2nd place in the league, each on 20 points.

A 3rd place for Sarah Cowan and Gleann Rua Storm at The Meadows sees them narrow the gap to just 0.5 points off leaders Emily Flavin-Redmond and Galtee Honeysuckle (CP) in the CT80 league. Meanwhile Leading NewcomerHannah McGoldrick, moves up to share 4th place with Michelle Lucey, both riding Irish Drafts – Hannah partnering Diamond Dayz, and Michelle on Bouncer’s Son.
